Serafelle is an enigma to most. She is rumored to be the daughter of Ahriman, lord of demonic hordes in Zoroastrian legend. If that is true, then her real name would be Jahi, the female incarnation of debauchery, and sister to Aeshma (lord of wrath, fury, and outrage) and Azhi Dahaka (lord of deceit). Jahi is worshipped in several religions, most notably in Babylonia, as the patron goddess of whores, defilers, adulterers, thieves, and rapists. She thrives in the company of demons and dark gods. Her powers stem from the base nature of sentient beings; lust, arrogance, greed, jealousy, anger, and deceit. She is a spirit of chaos given physical form by these emotions and passions. As long as they exist in the world, her power is fed and grows. She is one of the most ancient gods of Darkness, considered a demon by most today. However, she has her favorites, and should any whore, defiler, adulterer, etc...call upon her name in times of peril, they may find protective solace under her many black wings. Children of the Darke are her dear ones, and she fights to keep them. Little can harm this being of Hell, but she is susceptible to followers of her uncle, Ahura Mazda, Lord of Heaven, and those who have faith in good, and follow the path of Light. Darke magicks only serve to fuel her lusts and appetites.
When the world was still very young, Sera's father, Ahriman, bound her in a vessel of flesh, to feed off her during a long, savage battle with his brother, Ahura Mazda. For centuries she was held captive in the body, an endless well Ahriman drank from to renew his strength. Eventually, a group of particularly devoted worshippers managed to free her from her slavery, though she maintained small threads of the humanity she shared for so long. She nurtured this, believing it drew her closer to the beings off whom she fed. Recently, however, with the staggering betrayal of her servant Anubis, she fled to her brother Aeshma who owed her a favor. As the Elder God of wrath, fury and hate, he agreed to her pleas and stripped her of the last vestiges of sympathy and humanity to which she had clinged. Now, her full Darke potential has been realized. She knows hate and vengeance beyond anything she experienced previous...and it is directed almost solely at Anubis. Once a sweet mistress, she is terrible and cold as she is beautiful.
Her power has expanded, and that which once did not sustain her now does. Recently, Aeshma gifted Serafelle with a suit of black studded armor, etched in ancient and powerful runes, one of their father's three enchanted suits of armor,and the oldest.
Aeshma also gave her the stolen sword to go with it, a huge weapon also inscribed in runes of a long-dead civilization. These two gifts grant Sera the power of her father, and allow her to call upon the daevas, or evil spirit-creatures who serve her father and brothers. She only wears this particular suit of armor for true battle, as it could call Ahriman's attentions to the fact it has been stolen. These runes know no boundries, and are particularly effective against demons and gods. They are symbols of pure darke power in solid form. And Sera has no compunctions in using them.
Serafelle learned a hard lesson the day Anubis defeated her. Seeking only to keep him from Drag'nor, Sera tried to distract the demon lord from his rage of Anubis through discussion. Anubis did not see it as such, infuriated about Silfryn being help captive by her Father, Drag'nor. In his blind anger, Anubis disobeyed Serafelle and broke his servatude with her. After a heated battle, Sera was left drained and weak. She had never had a servant betray her like that before. She did not think it possible. Now, to prevent it from happening again, she has altered her ancient outlook on her servants and learned true hate. She now seeks to punish Anubis for her humiliation in the tavern, and she has nothing if not time in which to plot and savor his eventual agony..and will not hesitate to use Chalyss Eventually, all that was accomplished... Serafelle bound them both with collars and forced Chalyss to watch Anubis' training as Pleasure Priest. Chalyss snapped and Anubis nearly did as well. Both have since gained their freedoms and Sera will more than likely simply leave them alone.
A dark elf who somehow caught the attention of the Elder Goddess...all gold grace and beauty. A gorgeous Drow, she favors him greatly and is pleased he now wears one of her collars, in the guise of an armlet, as well as a TearJewel. Twice bound to her, much like his beautiful lover, Sera's High Priest, Tahmas, whom Valyn gave a Jewel. She doesn't seem to mind the Dark Elf and her Priest as a couple...perhaps she even delights in it.
A poor and pitiable creature, she is an escaped slave of cruel Drow captors. Sera pettily fed off the girl's desire for protection and revenge, offering her a collar of servitude in the guise of a golden necklace. The hapless Kelva eventually accepted it and became a slave once more. She has finally been truly freed of Serafelle by the Enforcer, Acadanian; tho' Kelva may have to watch her back from now on... in case a follower of Serafelle has a dagger aimed for it.
Sera has special favor for Vasis, an empath who nearly matches her own insatiable appetite for pleasure. He impressed her when she first bedded him as a man (Vasis is gay), and met him again when he attempted to kill himself over Tehnebrae's forced departure from him. Vas and Tehn had been lovers, and the internal conflicts Tehn was having ended up crushing them both. Sera took rare pity on the youth and offered him a place in her temple as Pleasure Priest... a task she is sure he'll excel in.
