TALITHA DAYSTORME

HISTORY

Talitha is the current incarnation of the darkeling, Chalyss, having been mindwiped by her Sword, DayStar, in an attempt to make her whole and useable once more. Chalyss simply wasn't going to be of any good to anyone once she went mad under Serafelle's punishments to herself and her dearly beloved, Anubis. Khasm, a Creator, also had a hand in this, providing the new body and soul for Talitha. This was done strictly for Anubis' sake, whom Khasm has a deep interest in. As Anubis was made Pleasure Priest to Serafelle, so he would need one who could overlook exactly what that means. And Talitha, unlike Chalyss, has no preconceived ideas on the monogomy of a relationship. Nor a person's preference as to whom they bed. Chalyss had a very Christian view of things, and it was those morals that eventually broke her under Serafelle's torments, as she was forced to witness...and being empathic, feel...the "training" Anubis underwent.

Talitha has a sliver of her old soul, a shaving, so that Anubis could identify her. Her old memory is completely razed, and she is starting all over again, from scratch. She does, however, keep a bond with her Sword, and retains her Sword's Heart. She's also "on a mission"; her Sword wants to be reborn in a new body, and wishes Talitha to provide this for her, in the way of a baby. Whereas Chalyss would have never willingly agreed, Talitha is more than happy to. She just needs to find a man strong enough to bed for it, and Anubis simply isn't. With all the sensuality Chalyss possessed but hid and controlled, Talitha certaintly doesn't mind being distracted by men who are too weak to impregnate her...dalliances never hurt, she's sure, although Anubis may have other ideas.

POWERS/WEAKNESSES

Talitha has all the powers she possessed as Chalyss when Chalyss first found the tavern. She is not the super-empowered being Chalyss had become when she killed Xelloss, the Mazoku. In fact, she's even less than she was when she first found the tavern, this body never having killed anyone. She knows of her rifting abilities and how to use them, though there's still that glitter that falls whenever she opens a rift....She's incredibly fast and strong, with stone-hard skin, able to turn any unenchanted weapon aside and can easily withstand small caliber firearms. Talitha is empathic and has low-level shapeshifting and healing abilities. She can summon and control demons of a lower ranking than herself. Talitha is able to lift/press about half a ton, and that will grow if she ever kills, for darkelings draw physical strength from kills. She is not so skilled as Chalyss in battle, so she tends to avoid them if possible, finding no shame in running away, whereas Chalyss would stubbornly stand her ground. Her elemental control is far stronger than before, however, and she often employs lightening to get her points across.

DayStar is, perhaps, her best defense...a Destroyer in sword form. And Talitha often holds conversations with her aloud. Talitha is highly intelligent but, due to her current state, she is very ignorant and knows little of life's ways. She is trusting, never having found a reason yet not to be, and is without her Jewel, which had offered Chalyss a great deal of extra power. The cliche I'm a lover, not a fighter perfectly fits Talitha, who's moral standing is lying down, it seems.

DAYSTAR

History: DayStar was the first daughter of the greatest of the destroyers. She was not proud of this, however, as she would rather have been a creator. This earned her the displeasure of her parent many times, but never persued it. In the battle between her family and the Creators, her own sisters cut her down, for she had been about to change sides, something they couldn't tolerate. She now exists as a Soul Sword.

DayStar's Powers:

SWORD FORM
DayStar's powers are as two edged as her blade. She can heal wounds, but must either inflict a wound on another first to gather power to do so, or kill after a healing.
DayStar can absorb most powers sent against her or her holder. She cannot protect /both/ of them, though. Thankfully, the sword is hard to harm.

DESTROYER FORM
DayStar will, when needed, convert into an astral form, as close to her true self as she can now come. When in this form, she can use her healing powers to their full capacity, or unleash the Flames of Destruction, of which she was keeper.

DayStar's Price:
DayStar wants to live again, in a physical, breathing form. She wants her holder to provide a host for her in the form of a child. If denied, things could get most unpleasant.

DayStar's Personality:
DayStar is relatively easy going, though easy to provoke if you know what buttons to push. She won't attack, but won't hestitate to defend herself, either. She doesn't like killing, but isn't squeamish about it.

MAJOR UPDATE

Since Talitha wasn't working out for Anubis, and for other reasons as well, Khasm gave Anubis a new body and Yukio, the full lung son of Anubis, gave a new soul, freeing Anubis from Serafelle's control. Khasm then did the same for Chalyss, freeing her from the TearJewel. Talitha is still what she is, but is being used in a different capacity now, that of Anubis' assistant, who has accepted the mantle of Tiamat and Khasm's "High Priest". This station comes with a massive amount of power, and Talitha has been charged with helping him discover it. She's been taught many things by an extremely patient human, Gremio, and has even developed a deep crush on him. Khasm had taken her for a while though, away from the tavern, to remake her a bit...she's now far more refined and possessing a great deal of knowledge she would not otherwise know. Her predisposition towards Anubis has been removed, and she's also very pregnant with DayStar's new body, the father being a very unwilling Keishi, a beautiful young man, possessed by a Demon Dragon, and overflowing with lifeforce.

Talitha now acts as a kind of ambassador, calm and intelligent. She still adores Gremio, but has toned her sexual appetite down quite a bit, and is given to a roving eye yet. Her Sword, DayStar, has lost some of its powers as DayStar is removed from it. The astral form is no longer there, and neither are the Flames of Destruction, but the sword is far from powerless and all else remains. Talitha is now aware she was an attempt to remake Chalyss, who is back with Anubis...and she alone of the three knows what happened to the couple...the binding and the breaking, even the near-breaking of Anubis. She will not divulge this to them, but even if she did, it wouldn't matter. Khasm has made sure neither Anubis nor Chalyss remember what happened wholly. As far as Chalyss is concerned, Sera showed up to collar Anubis and...something happened...and the rest of the time was spent in Japan again with Anubis. Anubis knows he was collared, and that's all, though he retains the impressions he made of Sera's temple and the followers he met there.

Then he was freed by Khasm and will not, under any circumstances, be made to remember what else happened, even told so in mindspeech. Khasm was very careful with this. Any attempts will simply be disregarded and found uninteresting. So Talitha isn't too worried about letting something slip. One other thing to note: Talitha no longer has power over Chalyss' rifts. Talitha can, however, teleport herself and up to three others, even into other dimensions, and often employs Gates.
